Battle Ground Community Library sits in the heart of Battle Ground, serving readers, learners, and families throughout northern Clark County. Since opening its doors, the library has grown into a true community gathering place — offering public computers and
Wi-Fi, a seed library for local gardeners, a working art gallery (Swift Art), and free meeting and study rooms for community groups.
Throughout the year, the library hosts book groups, DIY workshops, art discussions, and English conversation circles that bring neighbors together across generations. Friends of Battle Ground Community Library has supported this vibrant hub for years, and our volunteer-run bookstore, Ben’s Books, helps fund the extra programs, materials, and equipment that make the library more than just a place to check out books.

Friends of Battle Ground Community Library meetings are open to anyone who cares about our library –we’d love to see you there.
Our meetings are held at 1:00 PM on the first Tuesday monthly, with no meetings in August and December.

Ben’s Books is open all hours the library is open!

Help sort, price, and sell donated books at our Friends bookstore — a favorite way for volunteers to spend a few hours while directly supporting the library.
Lend a hand at book sales, fundraisers, and community events throughout the year, from setup to sales to cleanup.
Whether it’s marketing, bookkeeping, grant writing, event planning, or simply a great idea, we welcome members who want to put their skills to work for the library.

Friends of Battle Ground Community Library raises money that goes directly back into Battle Ground Community Library, funding the extras that the library district’s budget can’t always cover.
Recent and ongoing support includes:
Books, DVDs, and other collection items requested by staff and patrons.
Programs and presenters for children, teens, and adults, including storytimes, workshops, and speaker events Equipment and supplies for spaces like the seed library, art gallery, and meeting rooms.
Every dollar raised through our bookstore and fundraisers stays local, supporting Battle Ground Community Library and the community it serves.
We’re proud to be part of something bigger: a Friends of the Library group supports every one of Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries’ branches, from Woodland, Clark County and all the way out to the Columbia Gorge. Through the FVRL Foundation, our group connects with Friends from other branches — meeting together regularly to share ideas, celebrate successes, and support one another — because when one branch’s Friends group succeeds, the whole FVRL community benefits.
Friends of Battle Ground Community Library operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit under the umbrella of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation (Federal Tax ID 91-1456753), which handles our federal and state nonprofit filing and financial reporting on our behalf. This lets our all-volunteer board focus on serving Battle Ground Community Library rather than nonprofit paperwork. Donations to Friends of Battle Ground Community Library are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Contact the Foundation for more information: foundation@FVRLFoundation.org
